KYUR strives to collaborate with business owners and civic leaders to contribute to the Orange County community

KYUR was one of several sponsors that Included Genesis Bank, Advanced Beauty College, OCTA, and other Asian businesses of an annual January 2025 Lunar Year event – Year of the Snake – held in Westminster, CA.

The Year of the Snake represents positive transformation. In Buddhism, it is considered a time for personal growth and new beginnings. This is the year of the wood snake and it’s a symbol of rebirth and transformation. The wood element represents expansion and renewal.

The annual event also celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Vietnamese community’s arrival in Orange County. America’s largest Vietnamese population. The festivities included a powerful lineup of cultural performances, including a special appearance by international artist Huong Thuy and traditional lion dances with firecrackers, alongside family-friendly activities that embody the spirit of Tết. Local businesses and community organizations came together to honor the significant contributions of Vietnamese Americans, who have shaped Orange County’s rich cultural identity.
